About this listing
(NOT AVAILABLE FOR BURNING MAN)
"Tahoooo!" is a ton o' fun. This is a great mountain RV, with a relatively short wheelbase for switchbacks and a beefy, reliable Triton V10 for remote mountain passes. No slide-out hassles... Tahoooo's wide-open and versatile floorplan make it easy to set-up and pack off quickly - perfect for active families interested in camping and adventure. Tahoooo rests in Carson or Reno during snow season, and on Lake Tahoe's North Shore after the snow melts - perfect for family adventures throughout California, Nevada, Oregon, and if time permits, the Wasatch and Rocky Mountains. He's squeaky clean and meticulously maintained with low mileage. Parents love the ample storage, big bathroom and fully functional kitchen near the rear door; kids love the bunk beds and optional bike rack and toys. The pictures say it all - check them out.
We also accept RV Exchanges on our HomeExchange website at www.homeexchange.com/en/listing/566081. In 2017 we exchanged our RV with a German family, and drove their RV through the Alps... it was a great experience for us both... here are our respective reviews:
====== Guest Review of Tahoooo! =============================
Simone - Kirchhofen, 79238 Ehrenkirchen, Germany - Aug 2017
We did perfect non-simultaneous RV exchange with Tom and Sue. They were so well organised, easy and reliable to communicate and interact with that it was pure pleasure. We had worked out a special RV exchange contract together with them. They even picked us up at the airport, gave us a professional introduction to the RV, let us stay the first and the last night in front of their beautiful home and even treated us with delicious dinner and breakfast. When we parents were busy with the RV Tom took care of our kids - also they just love the whole family!
The RV itself was huge and carried all we needed, we slept very comfortably and it was in a very good condition. And we also got a MTB on the bike rack that was very useful. The fact that we're planning a second exchange with them also shows that we can highly recommend an exchange with this marvellous family!!! Looking forward to see you again!
====== Our Review of the German RV =============================
Rock-Millhoff Family from Incline Village, NV 89451, USA
Simone, Volker and we exchanged motorhomes for two weeks this summer. We drove their 2012 Adria Matrix Axxess 680SP through the Alps in early July, and they drove our 2010 Coachman Freelander through the Sierras in early August. It was a wonderful experience for us both. We took the time to draft a detailed RV exchange agreement, which helped set expectations. We helped each other with local insurances, registrations and roadside assistance programs, and provided stocked, ready-to-roll RV's equipped with bedding, kitchenware, paper goods, toys and even a bike each.
Their RV is a joy to drive and camp in, very modern and well equipped, and fully capable of scaling any mountain we attempted... indeed we nicknamed it "Ueli" after the famous Swiss speed climber Ueli Steck (RIP). To make the RV training and transitions easy, we each slept in the RVs on each other's streets prior to departure and after arrival, and we each cleaned each others' RVs when done.
Simone and Volker were an absolute delight to work with, have become friends, and we hope to exchange RVs again in the future... maybe Greenland! Thanks Simone & Volker, and happy travels.
