Day One

Day Two

Mangawhai to Waipu

Lazy days and long summer nights is what Waipu is all about. This small settlement is rich in Scottish history, attracting beach-goers and explorers from around New Zealand and internationally. Explore the glowworm caves, beaches, and fill your boots at the local favourite pizza barn.

Day Three

Waipu to Paihia

It’s time to pack-up your New Zealand motorhome rental and hit the road. Our next destination is Paihia. The gateway to some of the best diving, swimming and the sandy bays in the Bay of Islands. This is every explorers paradise. The Bay of Islands is made up of 144 islands, offering lush countryside, coastline, and crystal-clear waters. If you are looking to swim with dolphins, uncover the history of the Treaty of Waitangi and spend the day on the water, then Paihia is your place. Another great outing is catching the ferry across to Russell. There is plenty to uncover on your campervan journey in New Zealand.

Day Four & Five

Paihia to Cape Reinga

You can now relax, because you have reached the end of the road, the northernmost tip of the Cape. Here, you can watch the Pacific and Tasman Ocean collide, and discover the place of leaping, where the Maori spirits begin their final journey. Take a walk at the iconic lighthouse and watch the sunrise. On your journey to the Cape, travel inland and explore the waterfalls and ancient Kauri forest.
