About this listing
Welcome to my Mercedes Sprinter 5 berth I call Tikva, which means Hope! This 2.9 diesel automatic fully self contained motorhome is well maintained and is easy to drive on a regular car license. Tikva has 5 seat belts, with two in the drivers cab and three at the rear - one is a lap belt only. She sleeps four very comfortably with a fifth pull out bed at the back which is really only suitable for a child.
Tikva is keen to travel in any season and is perfect for freedom camping with a 130w solar panel, fridge with a little freezer which can run off the solar and power awning, large fresh (150 ltrs) and grey water(155ltrs) tanks and gas hot water and heating. There's a new 20 litre Thetford cassette toilet, shower, new radio with SD, USB and mp3 port in the cab, and radio/CD player at the back. The kitchen includes a three burner gas cooktop and grill, with counter space and ample storage cabinets.
You can walk through from the cab which is great on a New Zealand rainy day when stopping to enjoy the views from the large windows with perhaps a cup of tea or a bite of lunch. Fly screens on windows in living area and the three roof vents let you enjoy a bit of the breeze.
Everything you need for starting a wonderful adventure around New Zealand is in Tikva. She's equipped with linen, pillows, duvets, towels, tea towels, plates, glasses, pots, cutlery, electric and gas kettle/jug, electric toaster and microwave and basic first aid kit. There is some tea, coffee, sugar, basic herbs and spices, cooking oil, dish washing liquid and a few cleaning products.
Tikva is 6 meters in length but at just over 3 meters high there's not enough clearance for the takeaway drives at the fast food places.
A small outdoor table with bench chairs can be supplied free, along with a two person tent if you let me know in advance.
I can be a bit flexible with pick up/drop off location with prior agreement. Tikva resides in Masterton and you could start your travels seeing our spectacular coastline, visit one of the many vineyards, the boutique Martinborough Brewery, Queen Elizabeth Park in Masterton and many other places of interest after you pick up Tikva. Check out www.wairarapanz.com for ideas.
Please just message me with your details so we can make arrangements for you to pick up and drop off Tikva.
