Rainbow Ski Area
Have you been dying to ski the Southern Alps of the South Island? The Rainbow Ski Field is the perfect place to dive right into the powder, skis first! This budget-friendly ski area features wide slopes that accommodate winter sports enthusiasts of all ages for winter fun. Both beginners and advanced skiers will find runs suited to their skill levels. Even snowboarders will feel right at home in the varied, challenging terrain.
Walking and Hiking
Marlborough has plenty of day walks and multi-day hikes to go on. Check out the Wither Hills Farm Park if you’re closer to Blenheim, it’s an awesome walk through a working farm, with impressive views of the Richmond Ranges and Wairau Valley. The Snout Track is a nice easy walk, which will take about an hour, and is a great excursion if you’re near Picton. The lookout at the top offers amazing views of Queen Charlotte Sound.
