Lockdown doesn’t have to be difficult. Yes, we are restricted to some things, but why not make our own fun? We have put together a great list of entertainment for the whole family. These tips will keep the younger ones entertained during lockdown level 3 & even 2! The best thing is to stay indoors, stay safe and have lots of fun! So, let the adventures begin.
You don’t need a colouring in book to colour in! And no, we’re not suggesting that the kids take to the walls. Crayola offer a great range of downloadable, printable colouring in pages for kids of all ages. From Disney to adult colouring, they have everything you could possibly need for great lockdown entertainment.
Plant a herb garden
Mitre10 have now opened their website to online orders and home deliveries, so this is the perfect time to get the kids (young & old) involved in a garden project. Order some fresh herbs and potting mix and start the herb garden you’ve been dreaming of. Gardening is great entertainment for the whole family and who doesn’t love fresh herbs with dinner?
It doesn’t have to be Easter or a birthday for a treasure hunt. This is great lockdown entertainment and will keep the kids busy for awhile. Simple items around the house are easy to hide or you could splash out with items from the supermarket. Otherwise, you can make a list of exisiting household items and get the kids to seek them out and mark them off a list. Take your treasure hunt to the next level.
The process of making Playdough is enough to keep the little ones entertained for at least an hour, and it’s easy! Try out this great recipe and once it’s ready, you can start the real fun!
