See The Floral Extravaganza - Hawke's Bay
Head to the Central Hawke’s Bay Municipal Theatre for the Spring Show Stopper Floral Extravaganza where the best creative Floral Artists have created magic by turning the Theatre into a riot of colour. The show will be on across Labour weekend, 10-4pm daily with delicious Devonshire and High Tea available throughout the day. The Spring Show Stopper Floral Extravaganza is part of ‘The Spring Fling‘ – a series of standout events over September and October that capture the essence of springtime in Central Hawke’s Bay.
Visit the Soundshell Market - Rotorua
Anything you can’t find elsewhere, you can probably find here. The market is a shoppers one-stop for every curio you can imagine. Shop through fine island jewellery, collectables of all kinds as well as a wide selection of woodwork and antiques. The entry is free and parking is plentiful. The Soundshell Market has been running for over 25 years now at Lakefront, Rotorua, hours found here.
Relax at Hamilton Farmer’s Market
The Hamilton Farmer’s Market in Claudelands, Gate 4, Brooklyn Rd, Hamilton features indoor shopping of a large variety of produce and goods. Here you can find baked goods, preserves, and meats in addition to the produce. Sometimes featuring entertainment, you can enjoy the summer air and a local community.
Visit the Jazz Festival & Remarkable’s Market
If you find yourself down south,you can visit both the Remarkable’s Market and ‘Swing’ by the Queenstown Jazz Festival. This year is the 39th edition of the festival since 1978, and will feature 4 days of live music and entertainment. There will be a long list of artists from local to international names with over 40 different events, some free and some ticketed concerts. Every jazz genre you could hope for will find its way to the stage here in the Wakatipu District. Don’t miss out on the dinner shows either as there will be fantastic dining opportunities with the live music sure to captivate and delight audiences. Turn up to the Remarkable’s Market- A cross between a curio market and farmer’s market, you can find a wide variety of products and produce and tour the local community. Many stalls accept cash only, but parking is plentiful and free next to the Remarkables Park Shopping Centre.
