Located on the southern shore of Raglan Harbour is the small town of Raglan, New Zealand, which was originally named Whāingaroa Village. It was renamed in 1858 in honour of a well-known British commander from the Crimean War, Lord Raglan. Only a 30 minute drive west of the admirable city of Hamilton, Raglan is unquestionably a stop you need to make when traveling through New Zealand.

Raglan is well known for its commercial fishing industry, gorgeous beaches, and breathtaking scenery. Take a weekend trip to Raglan and you are guaranteed to have an amazing time, as evidenced by the following reasons.
